Rengasamy, Stella Marie

It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved mother and grandmother, Stella (Amma), who passed away December 31, 2025 at the age of 67.

Amma was a soulmate, a loving sister and a nurturing mother and grandmother. She cared for all who entered her home and she made sure none left hungry. Joy sprung from her smile and laughter and contagiously lit up a room whenever she was around. Her presence brought comfort, her voice soothing and her hugs shared her unconditional love.

Amma is survived by her husband, Droyanandan Kandiah, her children: Trina, Ashzvin, Trini and Treven.

She was predeceased by her mother: Theresa Louis, her father: Rengasamy Rajoo, and her brother: Edward Segayam Rajoo.

A funeral service will take place Friday, January 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Edmonton Crematorium and Funeral Home: 6403 Roper Road NW Edmonton, AB.

A visitation will be held at the location of the funeral service at 11:30 am the day of the service.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at the University of Alberta hospital: Unit 3E4, for their kindness, support and care shown to Amma during her stay.
