With profound grief and sorrow, we announce the passing away of our beloved mother Shreelekha Chatterjee on January 24, 2025 at the age of 82.
She passed away at Miscericordia Hospital, Edmonton, AB.
She was born and raised in Bhatpara, West Bengal, India and lived in area surrounded by five temples known as ‘Paanch Mandir’. She was a very religious person and loved by everybody and was lovingly called ‘Shilu Pisi’ by residents of Bhatpara. She had a special place for animals in her heart and used to feed them religiously every day. She loved her family a lot, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years Nishit Kumar Chatterjee, her father Ram Sharan Bhattacharya, her mother Bhagwatidevi Bhattacharya, her brothers Ram Shekhar Bhattacharya, Ram Kumar Bhattacharya and Ram Prasad Bhattacharya, her sisters Pratima Bhattacharya, Renuka Bhattacharya, Bijali Bhattacharya and Kalyani Bhattacharya.
She is survived by her two sons, Jaideep and Sandeep Chatterjee, daughter in laws Nandita and Bindu Chatterjee and grand children Juhi, Juthika, Shreya and Porush Chatterjee.
She may have gone but will continue to live in our hearts forever.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at Edmonton Crematorium and Funeral Home, 6403 Roper Rd NW, Edmonton, AB.
