BAINS, Mohinder Singh It is with great sadness that the family of Mohinder Singh Bains announces his peaceful passing on Monday, January 24, 2022 at the age of 89 years. He was predeceased by his wife of over 60 years, late Bakshish Kaur Bains. 

Mohinder will forever be missed by his children: Kamaljit Kaur Kandola (late Joginder S Kandola), Parmjit Kaur (late Baldev Singh), Manjit Singh Bains (Tejinder Bains). Mohinder will also be missed by all 8 of his grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren: Rajdeep Kandola (Milli Kandola), Neel Kamal Jhawer (Pardeep Sidhu), Harman Kandola (Sonia Kandola), Aman Vikas Jhawer (Jasmine Jhawer), Ekjote Bains, Jaskiran Bains, Puneet Bains, and Harjap Bains. 

Mohinder was born in pre-partition Punjab on August 10,1932. He served in the army up until he moved to Edmonton in 1989 and worked as a machinist.  Eventually retiring to nurture and spend time with his grandchildren. Mohinder will forever be remembered as a compassionate and honest man. 

A heartfelt thank you to the nurses and physicians at the University of Alberta Hospital for their kindness and care. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 29th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Edmonton Crematorium and Funeral Home followed by service at Darbar Sri Guru Granth Sabha Ji Edmonton.
