In Loving Memory of Marcel Hector Ricard
Marcel Ricard born in Ste. Anne, Manitoba passed away in Edmonton, Alberta October 19, 2024 at the age of 89 years of age. Marcel is survived by his loving wife Suzanne of 47 years. Daughters Rose Marie Kegler (Ken), Paulette Laurin (Real), and son Paul Ricard. Grand children Tony (JoAnne), David (Kelly), Nicki (Gary). Robert (BJ) (Sheena), Stephanie. Sarah. Great grand children Dominque, Christopher, Makaila. Sisters Evette, Theresa and brother Denis ( Elsie). Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and close friends of family Bill, Billy, Buffy Buchner.
Marcel was predeceased by his parents George and Aurore Ricard. Brothers Felix, Euclid, Armand, Joe, Bernard, and Germain. Sisters Emma and Cecile. Marcel was born and raised on a dairy farm outside of St. Annes, Manitoba until he left home at the age of 15. Marcel had several jobs between landing a job at Supercrete and Lafarge for 43 years.
In 1972 Marcel moved to Edmonton during the construction of Super Crete and became plant manager several years later until he retired. Marcel had several hobbies he loved doing such as hunting, fishing, and wood working. Marcel was very proud of making childrens doll houses with all the furniture for his grand daughters as well as making his wishing wells. Marcel was very passionate on listening to his country music. The Family would like to thank the staff at Greenfield, Garneau Hall and the Royal Alexandra Hospital for all the care and service Marcel received.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday November 21, 2024 at Edmonton Crematorium and Funeral Home 6403 Roper Road Edmonton.
