It is with heavy hearts and great pride that we celebrate the life of Louis Lucien Robert Gagnon. Louis passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, at the age of 69 in Edmonton, Alberta. His sense of humor, humility and spirit never waivered during his long brave fight with cancer.
His memory is lived on through his wife of 43 years, Barb. She was truly the love of his life. His sons and their wives; Mike & Rachelle and Adam & Erin, and most importantly his grandchildren; Louis & Ophelia and Otis & Uma. They were his pride and joy.
Louis was predeceased by his parents; Lucien and Mary Gagnon. His younger brother; Robert. His in-laws; Joe and Mary Warawa. His brother in-laws; Bill, Bobby, Kenny, Marvey and Bernie. His sister in-laws; Pat and Sharon. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings; Bev (Lee), Edgar, Lorne (Tanya), Elwin (Claire), Michelle (John), Lori (Todd) , and his extended family; Gloria, Mae (Peter), Arlene (Harvey), Audrey (Paul), Iris, Margie (Adam), Patsy and Diane.
The family would like to adamantly express our most sincere appreciation to the staff of Pilgrims Hospice for their kind and gentle care of Louis in his final days. Please consider any and all donations in Louis' name be made to this remarkable facility to continue their approach to the dignified care of loved ones in their final days and the care of their families afterwards.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, November 3, at 1pm at Edmonton Crematorium and Funeral Home – 6304 Roper Road with a light lunch to follow.
