It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of Gilbert Myler, at 94 years of age. Gilbert is
survived by his son Trevor and daughter in-law Dawna, many nephews and nieces, friends and
neighbours.
Gil loved sports, excelling in hockey, baseball and curling. His true passion was golf, a passion he
followed well into his 80's. Gil also loved to playing billiards and regular visits to the racetrack to play
the ponies. Gil also had many friends at the Ridgewood Apartments, where he lived for 41 years.
Weekly cribbage matches, or just jovial banter in the hallways were common.
Gil had a full life, and it was a life well lived. In memory of that life and in lieu of flowers, donations
can be made in Gilbert's name to the Foundation Fighting Blindness Canada.
