Darin Paul Choquette February 24, 1966 – November 6, 2025 (59 years)
It is with immense sadness that we announce Darin’s passing on November 6, 2025, surrounded by his devoted wife and three sons. His peaceful transition as he “claimed his wings” brought our family great comfort.
Darin faced his rapid battle with cancer with dignity, courage, and remarkable grace. Though unafraid of death, he deeply mourned the moments and milestones he would miss.
His legacy will continue through his wife of 38 years, Joanne; his sons Kyle (Amanda), Kurt (Samantha), and Austin (Kirsty); and his beloved grandchildren Jensen (6), Aurora (4), Eastyn (3), and Mason (14 days). He was profoundly proud of each and every one of them.
Darin is survived by his mom, Bertha; his sisters Dianne, Laurel (Stuart), Pauline (Barry); and brother Darcy (Stephanie). He also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his dad, Paul, in 2009.
Blessed with a wide circle of friends, Darin held each of them close to his heart and considered many to be family.
Darin was proud to be a partner at Continental Chain & Rigging. He poured his heart and soul into his work and held deep respect for his business partners, colleagues, and everyone he encountered throughout his nearly 40-year career in the chain and rigging industry.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Our family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the exceptional staff of the Grey Nuns Hospital, Unit 43, for their compassion, kindness, and outstanding care. Your support was truly remarkable, and we are profoundly grateful.
Darin’s Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025 at 2 pm. at Edmonton Crematorium & Funeral Home – 6403 Roper Road NW Edmonton, AB
