Sr. Avtar Singh Sraa aged 86, passed away peacefully on July 19th, 2025 surrounded by family.
He lived a life defined by unwavering dedication to his faith and his loved ones. He was deeply religious and dedicated much of his energy to his spiritual community—always a steady presence, grounded in belief and practice.
He was known for being a hardworking man, whether in his vocation or in caring for those around him. Yet at home, he was equally celebrated for his lighthearted silliness—a playful smile or a spontaneous joke that would bring laughter to family gatherings. His sense of humor was a gift that drew people in and brightened even ordinary days.
His love for family was boundless. He reached out not only to his immediate household but also stayed in touch with distant relatives, calling to inquire, checking in on them, and making sure they felt remembered and cared for.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.

A Funeral Service for Mr. Avtar Sraa Will be held Saturday July, 26 2025 11:00 am at Edmonton Crematorium and Funeral Home Ltd 6403 Roper Rd Edmonton.
