In Loving Memory of Allan Unger

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Albert Unger, who peacefully

departed from this life on March 27, 2025, at the age of 69. Allan was a beloved husband,

father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor.

Allan was born on December 27, 1955 in Lanigan, Saskatchewan, and spent his life surrounded

by family, friends, and loved ones. He was a hardworking steelworker for almost three decades

with a penchant for collecting sports cards as a hobby in his free time. Allan touched the hearts

of many, and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Allan is survived by his loving wife Dorotea Unger and stepdaughter Mary, and son Christopher

Mecele; as well as, his sister Linda (Rick); brother Kelly and his sons, Michael (Larissa), and

their children, William and Henry; Andrew (Alexandra); sister Joyce and her children, Trisha

(Patrick) and their children, Elliot, Maxwell, Aimee, and Charlie; Shane (Sarah). As well as, Aunt

Irene Echlin of Sundre; and his several cousins. Allan is predeceased by his parents Clarence

and Veronica (Alice).

As per Allan’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.

May Allan rest in peace, forever remembered and cherished.
